Authenticity
Inspired by firsthand experience of Nepal and its food culture.
One Mo:Mo at a time.
Nepali-inspired momos, mains and house brews. Fully vegetarian, made fresh in City Light, Surat.
Mustang Mo:Mo is a vegetarian café in Surat built around Himalayan flavours and the simple comfort of a good momo.
It began with founder Aman Kapadia's 25-day solo journey through Nepal in 2017, where he experienced its food, its culture and its momo culture firsthand. The café brings that memory into a warm, modern space. Alongside the signature momos, the menu runs to Nepali-inspired mains, crispy sides, cold brews, kombucha and the house chocolate.
Aman Kapadia travels solo through Nepal for 25 days. It isn't meant to be the start of a food business, but something stays with him: the momos, the flavours, the simplicity of the food and the culture around it.
Back in Surat, he starts cooking from home, momos first, then drinks, including the recipe that becomes Mustang Cold Cocoa. For two years, orders grow purely by word of mouth, building a circle of regulars before there is a sign on any door.
Mustang Mo:Mo is formally registered, with FSSAI registration and GST in place.

Founder, Mustang Mo:Mo. Interior designer and entrepreneur.
In 2017, Aman spent 25 days travelling solo through Nepal. He went as a traveller and came back with an idea he couldn't put down: momos the way he'd eaten them there, honest, comforting and made with care.
He spent the years that followed cooking from home, refining recipes and building a circle of regulars purely by word of mouth, before opening the first Mustang Mo:Mo café in September 2026.
His design background shapes everything you see at Mustang, from the lime-plaster walls and prayer flags to the kraft packaging and the glowing Devanagari sign. The food, the space and the experience are built as one brand.
